Cynthia is the current occupant of the Joseph Tambimuttu Memorial Chair, which is reserved for the Assistant Concertmaster of the Society. She made her CMSC debut in 2010. Born in Colombo, she schooled at St. Bridget's Convent, Colombo 07, and at the Music Academy of Saarbrücken, Germany.

Her interests include Chamber music, opera and 19th century authors.
